- William Henry Prior de la Hey (1879-1957) was the son of William de la Hey and his wife Elizabeth née Prior
- He married firstly Florence Davies on 10 January 1906, in Rawāl, Gujarāt, India. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters.
- He married secondly Dorothy Mildred Nockles on the 24th of September 1924 at Bombay, Bengal, India.
- Press cutting - The Scotsman 11 May 1937 Awards - William Henry Prior de la Hey, M.B.E., Personal Assistant to the Military Secretary to His Excellency the Viceroy.
- He died aged ~ 78 at Rift Valley, Kenya.
